Privacy Policy
Effective October 10, 2026
This policy covers the website usaroadtripcrew.com and RTC Broadcast, the tool the USA Road Trip Crew uses to run its own live broadcasts.
What the website shows
The website shows videos from our YouTube channel and, while the crew is broadcasting, our live cameras, the crew vehicle's live GPS position and route for the day, and weather information for that location. Camera audio is never published.
Information about visitors
- We don't use visitor accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies.
- Our server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. These are kept for a limited time and are not sold or shared.
- Some content is loaded by your browser directly from other services, each with its own privacy policy: embedded videos from YouTube (Google Privacy Policy), map tiles from OpenStreetMap, weather radar from the Iowa Environmental Mesonet, and weather data from the U.S. National Weather Service.
RTC Broadcast and YouTube API Services
RTC Broadcast uses YouTube API Services. It is used only by the USA Road Trip Crew to manage the live broadcasts of our own YouTube channel: creating a broadcast and setting its title, description, keywords and visibility. It does not access visitors' Google or YouTube accounts.
- Access to our channel is granted by the channel owner through Google sign-in. The resulting access token is stored on our server, is used only for the purposes above, and is never shared.
- The channel owner can remove this access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- By using our YouTube features you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
